Hudood is a social network for people who want the good parts of social media without what usually comes with it. It is built within Shariah limits from the first screen, it carries no ads, and it has a finance hub inside it. This is a short tour of what you can do from the day you join.
Share in every format
Post a thought or a reminder as text, share up to ten photos in one post, or record a reel. Before you post, the composer shows the posting checklist: the key community rules, such as no immodest content, no instrumental music and no promotion of alcohol, gambling or riba. It also asks you to label anything AI-generated. The rules are in front of you every time, not buried in a policy page.
In the Android app you can trim a video and choose its cover before posting, and the app finishes posting it in the background while you carry on.
React the way you mean it
Tap the heart to react with Love, or double-tap a photo or video. Press and hold the heart to choose another reaction: Like, Dua or Hmm. You have one reaction per post, and you can change it whenever you like.
A profile that is really you
Your profile holds your posts and reels, the topics you care about and, if you choose to show it, your work and education. The personal and the professional sit together, instead of being split across two different apps.
Private messages, calm notifications
Message friends one to one, with read receipts, and mute a conversation whenever you need quiet. Notifications are grouped, so twelve reactions to your post arrive as one notification, not twelve buzzes.
Safety you can see
You can report posts, comments, reels, messages and accounts, with screenshots if they help, and block or mute anyone. Reports are reviewed by people. If we act on your content or your account, we tell you why, and you can appeal.
Hudood Financial, built in
The same login opens Hudood Financial: stock and crypto prices and charts, watchlists, portfolio tracking and a Zakaat calculator. It is all free. We are rebuilding our Shariah screening on current, verifiable company disclosures, so the finance hub does not show Halal or Haram verdicts yet. Here is why.
Free, and on the web and your phone
Everything in this release is free, with nothing to buy. Hudood works in your browser today, and in the Android app. An iPhone app is planned.
Create your account, follow a few people and topics, and say salaam.
